The primary responsibility of the Epidemiology Program at the Florida Department of Health in Washington County is to monitor communicable disease within our community to protect the health of all Washington County residents and visitors.
Surveillance and reporting are key public health functions and includes the collection of data, data analysis, and the provision of opportunities for public health action to prevent and control the spread of disease.
