Pediatric Dental Services:  

We are happy to have your child as a patient here at the Washington County Health Department Children’s Dental Clinic. We would like to make you aware of our policies to prevent any confusion when it comes time for your child's dental appointment and treatment. Services include exams, x-rays, preventative dental education, oral hygiene instructions, emergencies, cleanings (prophylaxis), fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings, and extractions. Dental health presentations are available for pre-schools, elementary schools, adult centers, nursing home staff, community groups, and civic organizations.  

Adult Dental Clinic:  

We provide adult dental services which include:  exams, x-rays, preventative dental education, oral hygiene instructions, emergencies, cleanings (prophylaxis), fillings, and extractions.  We accept Medicaid, cash, check, or credit card for payment.  Please call for an appointment or for additional information.     

School Based Dental Sealant Program:

A licensed Dentist and Dental Hygienist from the Florida Department of Health provide the following services at each school to children in PreK – 12th grade with parental permission:

  • FREE Dental Screening
  • Education on how to properly brush his/her teeth
  • Dental sealants if needed ***
  • Fluoride treatment***
  • Prophylaxis***
  • Referrals for follow up care if needed

Sealants are protective coatings that help prevent cavities on healthy back teeth.

***Theses services will provided to Medicaid eligible students only unless grant funding is available.

Accepted Payment:

We accept Medicaid, cash, check, or credit card for payment. 

Insurance Accepted: Medicaid, Dentaquest, Liberty Dental, and MCNA(Managed Care of North America.

Broken Appointment Policy: 

When appointments are made we do expect them to be kept. These appointments are made for your convenience. If you fail to keep an appointment you are depriving someone else of this time. It is your responsibility to keep track of the appointment. If you are unable to keep the appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in suspension or dismissal from the Dental Clinic.  

Treatment Rooms Policy:

It is our policy that parents remain in the waiting room while your child is being treated. We understand your child may be worried about the dental appointment but we appreciate your cooperation with this policy.

7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
